Fiona Waddell

Fiona trained as a registered general nurse at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh School of Nursing, completing her training in 1978. Since the early 1980s, she has worked on a variety of research projects which also incorporated clinical work. Fiona has gained experience in various therapeutic areas including gynaecology, respiratory, neurology and urology. She has a particular connection with neurosciences having worked extensively in this area since the late 1980s. In addition, Fiona has worked as research sister and national nurse co-ordinator for an international stroke trial in the early/mid 1990s. She has interviewed in excess of 1000 patients for disability, ADL and QoL.
Fiona is a lecturer at Lauder College, Dunfermline in Quality Issues in Child Care and Education. She has worked as a consultant with Case Management Services since 1994, preparing needs reports and giving evidence in court in cases arising from a range of conditions with which she is familiar.
