These reports set out, in sufficient detail for litigation purposes, equipment required to assist in restoring the client to their previous level of function.
In preparation for going to court, these reports can be carried out several years post-injury when spontaneous recovery has plateaued and there is a reasonable degree of confidence about the prognosis. Alternatively, these reports may be requested early on in rehabilitation to apply for appropriate funding/ interim payments.
The assessor will be an Occupational Therapist with experience in your particular client group, including recommending and implementing equipment in the community.
The report covers the following main areas
- Equipment, and outline, but not details, of accommodation
- Therapy required to support the implementation of equipment
